For the search, we kept our criteria the same, including family size and tags (discussed below), but just changed our zones to see what different options we might have in different parts of the DFW Metroplex

Personalize Your Budget & Features with Abodefy

We used the Abodefy budget calculator to set a shopping range that resulted in a maximum monthly payment of $4250, and used the tag search to specify features that would give us great results. Here is how we did it.

Design & Lifestyle - 26 out of 213 feature options

1. Architectural style is the first impression of the real estate world. We selected several options including Farmhouse, Modern, Craftsman and Mediterranean.

2. Patio & Porch Features accentuates outdoor living.

3. Fireplace has many options, but we kept it simple, and just selected "Fireplace"

4. Exterior Features is a great way to further enhance your outdoor living, so we selected features like Courtyard, Deck, Outdoor Grill, Private Yard and Rain Gutters.

Home Features - 68 out of 252 feature options

1. For Appliances, we selected several core features because everyone needs to eat! Our selections included ENERGY STAR Qualified Appliance, Refrigerator Included, Gas Oven and Dishwasher.

2. For Laundry, we kept it simple with Laundry in the Utility Room and Electric Dryer Hookup and Washer Hookup

3. For Flooring, we explored our options with the many varieties that are available including Terrazzo, Bamboo, Hardwood and Luxury Vinyl Plank and Ceramic Tile

4. For Cooling & Heating, we kept it simple, selecting central air, ceiling fans and heating

5. We wanted to highlight New Construction homes with this search, but Abodefy knows that shopping for a home is about tradeoffs, so when you select this feature it does not restrict you only to new construction. The power is in your hands.

In this search, we opted to emphasize outdoor living since that is such a popular trend these days. You can further enhance the quality if your matches for outdoor living with this section
