When you enter, you’ll see the featured first set of projects they went about tackling prior to moving in, with the reconstructed staircase, dark rich engineered wood floors, and to offset the dark and invite the light, the gray-tone interior paint throughout.

With quick look back at the front door down the main hallway, you’ll see a coat closet and head into the kitchen.
The selling point to most is the kitchen. For this family, it was always the heartbeat of their home. This has always been the meet-up and focal point for cooking, baking, entertaining, and where they spend the most time at home. What originally sold the family on the home was the unique and spacious layout of this very kitchen. Unlike many other quick flip kitchen rehabs, they didn’t want to cut absolutely any corners in this remodel because if they were going to do it, they wanted to do it right.
They spent months researching and planning out the changes, saving pins of designs and functionality elements of what would make it their perfect kitchen. They interviewed several designers and general contractors landing on one who surpassed all expectations to help deliver each design decision and functional elements. A nearly 6 figure full renovation cost and major lifestyle interruption for a few months was worth it in the end, and in 2022 they finally had their dream kitchen.
First priority generally was to tackle the functional aspects. This included the larger kitchen island with drawers and cabinets on both sides, an extra trash drawer, new electrical plugs on both ends. The floor to ceiling storage with soft close drawers and cabinet doors were a priority. They made sure to include some deeper and wider drawers and cabinet spaces for pots, large bowls and small appliances. They even added a custom pull out in the tall cabinet specifically for their heavy duty kitchen mixer.
From a cooking perspective, in addition to the original built-in double ovens, they added a new 36” four burner Wolf gas cooktop with a flat-top griddle in the middle. A new range hood with a custom build enclosure was installed and adjusted venting to the exterior and finally a cabinet level microwave cove.
In the kitchen sink area, they added an undercounter sink, extendable faucet, a bottle washer, new dishwasher and garbage disposal button.
As far as the design elements, they chose light and bright quartz countertops throughout with a color pop backsplash and brash finishes, light fixture, and hardware pulls. Specific design elements and color aesthetic.
Lastly, the format changes also included dropping the walls to the living room and extending the countertops to create an extended breakfast bar with seating for four. The redesigned kitchen is their dream sports car. It’s beautifully designed in so many ways, but it was truly built for performance and the entertaining showcase space of the home.
The featured living room space focuses on the fireplace with new tile all the way around. The custom built display shelves give you the freedom to customize your design and showcase your story.
With plenty of soft close cabinet storage below, it has space for all the pillows and blankets you could accumulate to bring the comfort to your own living room.
As entertainment spills from the kitchen to the after-dinner living room space, you’ll start to feel the comfort home that truly turns a house into a home right here.
In the ideal setting for the true plant person, the two full walls of windows with plantation shutters allow for tons of light in, but only direct sunlight at sunrise.
Where preparing, meets living, meets dining and where inside meets outside, you’ll find the perfect little breakfast nook.
There’s always so much major elements to talk about so it often gets overlooked, but the doggies can enjoy their built-in doggie door leading out to their massive recently replaced fully-fenced backyard space.
For perspective, just to the left out of view is the door to the half bath powder room.
All elements in here have been updated including toilet, pedestal vanity, custom installed trim, fresh wallpaper and new brass mirror, sconces and hardware.
The primary suite is on the first floor. The tall ceilings, and space enough for a seating area is the perfect place for a good book and enough space for the pups to sleep.

It’s difficult to explain how it was formatted before without a ton of unnecessary paragraphs here, but several designs were painstakingly vetted before tackling this primary bath project. What you see is the end result. The brand new stand up shower with bench, shower cove, brass hardware glass walls and door. The garden soaking tub, and a new extended double vanity with extra storage.
You didn’t think you needed this much space, but we promise that double vanities save marriages.
What you don’t see are the his and hers walk-in closets with custom Elfa designed storage shelves, drawers and hanging elements. And also the water closet with a custom built linen closet.
Behind these mirrors you’ll find inset medicine cabinets you never even knew you needed. All brass hardware to match throughout
Well since you asked for it, the plumbing and electrical was all moved and updated, drain lines were moved, new exhaust fans were added all while keeping the custom closets in place. You didn’t know how much you needed your own bathroom space until you didn't have one for a month or more.
As we migrate to the upstairs landing, you can see the finished aspect of the stairs, the railing, rod iron and balusters installed throughout the upstairs balcony area.
Over the other side, the high ceilings allow the opening up to the living room space as well. Not necessarily super functional until you need to drop something down stairs for somebody to catch.
With the remaining three bedrooms upstairs and game room to explore, let’s keep going.
The first guest bed has an en-suite bath. You might not have known how much you didn’t want to see your house guests in the mornings until you had a guest suite with its own bath.
This suite also comes with a walk-in closet, isn't that nice!
The bath suite didn’t change format, but every element has been replaced and updated.
As far as the space between, the expansive game room space upstairs makes for a wonderful retreat from your own retreat
The double doors behind the couch are a massive storage room (2 owners ago used as an office). It has been outfitted with custom designed Elfa shelves and drawers as well.
The game was large enough to fit a modular 6-piece wrap around couch. Yeah…and an 85” tv. The movies and games you’ll watch here will make your head spin.
This bedroom that was turned into the home’s second office is the only bedroom without a walk-in closet,
But it has full french doors for easy access.
The second and third upstairs bedrooms will both have access to the jack and jill bath in between them.
Fully redesigned with new double vanity, hardware, lighting, and replaced everything in the bath/toilet room as well. (very difficult to photo without it looking just really off. Check out the matterport view.
Finally the last bedroom is the only room without tall windows and plantation shudders. But with a newly installed pull down shade and black out curtains, the south side light can stay away.
The wallpaper and trim on the feature wall as well as the fixture and paint were done alongside the bathroom renovations in preparation of an expanding family. The walk-in closet is a nice completion to the room.
If the house itself didn’t do it for you, part of the expanded dream was the massive back yard with no back neighbors as the home backs up to two green spaces. The largest lot equals the blankest canvas for you to create your own backyard oasis. This was the only thing left on the homeowner’s dream home list to tackle, a large covered patio element.
A 12 zone sprinkler system was installed to keep the yard healthy along with french drains in the hard to move water places.
The fence surrounding most of the yard was replaced after the former fence line took the brunt of Hurricane Beryl.
All systems go! In addition to the design elements and additions, many of the home’s functional systems were updated or replaced during their stay including: both HVAC systems (inside and out) with up-to-code duct work, hot water heater, electrical panel, and garage door openers.
